'LE FESTIVAL RENAULT': A UNIQUE GATHERING FOR RENAULT OWNERS AND ENTHUSIASTS

Renault is pleased to announce that it will be organising 'Le Festival Renault' on September 22-23, 2012. This unique gathering, which will take place at L'Autodrome Linas-Montlhéry, near Paris, France, will provide the brand's fans and owners with an exceptional weekend out, whatever the focus of their passion, from Megane R.S. to the Estafette, Fluence Z.E. or the Renault 5!

More than 6,000 people and 2,000 vehicles are expected to attend the two-day festival which will feature a packed programme of fun and entertainment for all the family, including:
- The 'Village Renault', with displays of historic vehicles, current models, concept cars and Formula 1 single-seaters.
- The 'Village des Clubs', where visitors will discover displays of vehicles that are this year celebrating anniversaries, plus a variety of entertainment, club stands and a play area for children.
- Special paddocks for visitors who wish to exhibit their personal vehicle, however old or young…
- Track rides alongside well-known drivers, plus the presence of celebrities, etc.

Registration documents to attend Le Festival Renault will be available online from today, February 1, at www.festivalrenault.com. This bespoke website will also provide a host of other useful information.

Further to the talks held during our March 24th meeting and given the level of subscriptions reached at the end of April, Renault has decided to postpone the date of the 1st Renault Festival from the 21st and 22nd of September 2012 to the 20th and 21st of July 2013.

Postponing the Renault Festival will allow us to move away from a very intensive period in terms of classic events during the second half of 2012 and will give you more time to prepare this event for which your contribution is essential.

The discussions we’ve had so far and the encouraging level of subscriptions – though not in line with the objectives we had agreed to – show that Renault enthusiasts throughout Europe support the Renault Festival project and approve the choice of the Linas-Montlhéry Autodrome as the first venue.

This is why the Renault Festival will naturally take place at this same location on July 20th and July 21st 2013.

Organising the 1st Renault Festival in 2013 will also coincide with the 115th anniversary of the Renault Company and reinforce federative appeal of this event.

Subscriptions for the Renault Festival will be open from November 2012.

We will get back to you very soon to study different possibilities for your Clubs to actively contribute to the Renault Festival and celebrate the 115th anniversary of Renault.

Vs: 'Le Festival Renault'

Dear enthusiasts,

After a preliminary report, the decision has been taken to cancel the Renault Festival, scheduled to take place on 20 and 21 July 2013.

This decision to call off the event was unavoidable due to the current economic climate and the resulting budgetary constraints. As such, we did not think it is a good idea to launch the inaugural Renault Festival at a time when it would be difficult to involve all of us.

That said, we have not abandoned the idea of organising such an event in the future, in more favourable conditions.

However, we fully intend to press ahead with our various projects and continue our efforts working alongside our clubs, in the hope that we can return to the issue of the Renault Festival at a later date.

First and foremost, the projects launched at the meetings held with some of you will carry on.

For example, the website www.renaultclassic.com, launched a few weeks ago, will be developed over the coming months to become THE site for interaction between Renault and the clubs.

Furthermore, the work begun on our federations will continue. The Retromobile Show, which will be held between 6 and 10 February 2013 in Paris ( France), will see the official launch of the French Federation of Renault and Alpine clubs. But this is just the beginning. We will then need to energise this Federation and make it as effective and relevant a tool as it can be for our clubs. We will also need to support other countries with the creation of their own such Federations.

Furthermore, we will remain attentive to our clubs in Europe to assist them in their projects (meetings, attendance at motor shows, etc.) and provide them with our support wherever we can. Feel free to tell us about your projects and we will see how we can help.

Finally, we are currently looking into range of events and plans to offer you throughout the coming year, such as Open Days at the Renault Classic technical workshop, strengthening the resources devoted to various World Series by Renault events, VIP access for clubs to certain exhibitions, etc. Again, your suggestions will be welcome.

I know I can count on your understanding and you can count on our desire to develop relations with the clubs.
